As every year, Manolo Mesa produces the promotional video for the festival that is accompanied by the unmistakable music of Joan B. Domènech, a symbol of the festival.
On this occasion, intelligently and clearly regarding the festival poster, an animated video is proposed reflecting the relation between the audio-visual production and the audience. The video begins with a sunrise that could symbolize the birth of an idea. A symbolic character carries a camera to materialize his idea. The infinity of reels that appear at the beginning of this video reflects the vast range of ideas and contents that are offered to us. There are always new stories to tell or revisit, and the reels reflect the materialization of that human need to tell stories and listening to them, mainly as an entertainment.
In this video, the large quantity of generated contents and topics attract the viewers who are trapped (swallowed) by the screen. The screen position, below the text: “XIX Curtmetratges Festival”, highlights the fact that spectators are running towards the festival eager of watching short films that, fortunately, can be done outdoors. It is a clear invitation to attend and let ourselves be caught by a long-running and always interesting festival.
